Holy smokes what a great wedding this one was.
Some friends of ours got married and decided to plan an outdoor wedding in the groom’s front yard. Outdoor wedding. In Seattle. In April. Talk about bold! On this particular day it was probably in the high 40s and raining heavily (for Seattle).
I considered wearing heals and a skirt for 1/8 of a millisecond and then settled on rain boots and jeans. Knowing the bride and groom, I was 100% positive they would not care about the attire of their guests. They are just that cool.
The bride didn’t let the weather slow her down; she walked down the aisle in the rain, through the mud, dragging the tail of her dress behind her. When I saw the joy, peace, and excitement on her face and how completely unfazed by the situation she was, I knew we were in for a genuine celebration!
And genuine celebration it was!
You know when Seattle-ites are actually using umbrellas, it’s raining pretty hard.
Tyrel and I were seriously having so much fun, that between the two of us, we realized we only snapped one photo of the bride and groom!
So I did what any normal person would do and snuck a couple off of facebook…
The groom has a lot of musical talent that manifests itself in a variety of forms, so it only made sense that he would write an awesome song for the bride to be performed as a duet. It had all of us laughing and smiling the whole way through.
Somehow I managed to get a great shot of the cake?! The cake toppers lured me in. I was fixated on its awesomeness.
This was definitely one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to. The bride and groom’s love for one another, love for others, and love for Jesus was so evident. We had a great time celebrating the amazing couple with some great friends!
